A Process

Releasing my first self-published book is definitely a journey. Most times it’s a great experience, and then there’s the parts where I realize just how much I have to learn. There’s so much more to being an author than just writing. So far I’ve had to learn how to:

  • Design a book cover in Photoshop
  • Code HTML to fix a messed up e-pub
  • Promote my book, which involvesĀ a lotĀ of social media activity
  • Etc.

In the end it will be worth it, and I’d be lying if I told you that I didn’t enjoy doing most of these things. I definitely have a masochistic streak.

Feel free to drop by on my social media pages and give them a like. Every little bit counts!

Social media

Just popping by to tell you that if you’re interested in more day to day updates, you’re welcome to follow me on Instagram and Facebook. There you’ll find a few photos as well as some excerpts from The Book of Songs.

If you have any questions about me or my books, feel free to ask them on Goodreads. That way I won’t have to answer the same questions a bunch of times.

I hope to see you around!

Paperback Amazon

The paperback version of The Book of Songs is now available on Amazon. And don’t let the name fool you, it’s much more fancy than the cheap books people bring to the beach only to throw them away afterwards.

Webshop

We know have a webshop up and running. Depending on your country of residence it might be more or less expensive than other sales outlets, but it is always the best option if you want as much money as possible to go to the writer rather than a company acting as the middleman.

To visit the webshop, please use this link.

Reviews

The past week I’ve been in contact with a number of reviewers, some of which will be reviewing The Book of Songs. There’s quite a bit of spread in the time they’re taking to review the book, so instead of writing the dates here I’ll keep you posted as the reviews show up.

If you are or know a book reviewer, especially one with an interest in fantasy books, feel free to contact me using this form.

Queer Books for Teens

The Book of Songs has been added to a database called Queer Books for Teens. If you haven’t heard of the site before, check it out.

I think this is a great initiative, since LGBTQ+ teens often feel isolated and have a hard time finding representation in mainstream media. Thankfully, that’s slowly getting better, but it’s still hard for teens to find stories where they are represented.

Authors can ask for their books to be added, so if you’re the author of a LGBTQ+ book, feel free to contact them and see if they want to add your book to the database. The more comprehensive it gets, the better.
